Saarbrücken (AP) - 1. FC Magdeburg has secured the class in the 3rd soccer league with the eighth win from the last tenth games.

The team from the state capital won 3-0 (0-0) at 1. FC Saarbrücken on Wednesday.

Kai Brünker (59th) met the FCM lead, Sirlord Conteh (84th, 85th) increased with his two hits to the final score.

With 47 points, Magdeburg now has ten points ahead of the relegation ranks in three game days.

Florian Kath replaced Sören Bertram in the starting line-up, but that didn't change the direction of 1. FC Magdeburg. Both teams tried to disturb the opponent in his half at the beginning by pressing. The FCM held out for the entire half, while Saarbrücken switched to the defensive early on. So the FCM controlled the game, but the last pass was missing, so that the guests missed the opportunity to score in a half with little chance.

After the break, Saarbrücken started out committed and offensively, but FCM had the first opportunity - Daniel Batz parried Baris Atik's graduation (47th).

The FCM stayed true to their game and now had more rooms.

The FCM leadership curious: Manuel Zeitz misjudged a long ball and Brünker lifted the ball with a side pull over the running Batz into the goal.

The FCS tried, but the substitute Jayson Breitenbach only hit the post (72nd).

Instead, the substitute Conteh scored twice within 75 seconds.
