The two lawyers, who work at the same agency, are suspected among criminals to go by the names "the king" and "the prince" according to the police.

They are currently being investigated by the Swedish Bar Association's disciplinary committee, after prosecutors sounded the alarm that they are suspected of having revealed secret information to the Vårbyn network.

The leaks are said to have taken place via Encrochat, the encrypted service that the French police managed to crack last year.

Reacted already in 2016

In the report to the Swedish Bar Association, there is also a newly established memorandum from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, where the criticism of the lawyers is scathing.

The authority writes that they already in 2016 reacted to the lawyers' behavior and lists ten different events.

Among other things, the 41-year-old lawyer who is called the "king" during a visit to a client in custody must have talked to a co-suspect to the client in the corridor and made a hushing gesture with his finger in front of his mouth and told the person, in a other language, to be silent.

According to the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, the person was significantly upset after the incident and must have immediately wanted to call his own lawyer.

Compared to dogs

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service also writes that the "king" used inmate clients to recruit more clients for his law firm and that several clients must have indicated that they had received information from the "king".

They write that he "is judged to offer services that are outside the legal customs and that entail a security risk for the prison service's activities".

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service suspects, among other things, that he diverted conversations he had with clients and in this way helped them to talk to outsiders.

According to the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, the other lawyer, a 28-year-old called "the prince", is said to have whistled at prison guards and compared them to dogs, according to the guards.

The investigation is ongoing

The Bar Association's Secretary General Mia Edwall Insulander does not want to comment on the specific case as the investigation is still ongoing.

- But in general you can say that these are serious accusations, she says in Crime of the Week.

When will the disciplinary committee come up with a decision?

- It is not possible to say at present when it will be decided, but it must be tried in a legally secure way, she says.

This week's crime has sought the suspected lawyers.

The "king" announces via his lawyer that he rejects all accusations, but does not want to comment otherwise.

The "prince" announces through his lawyer that he does not want to comment.
