Kiel (dpa / lno) - The seven-day incidence in Schleswig-Holstein fell to 54.5 on Tuesday.

The day before it was 56.9, a week earlier it was 70.2.

Within one day, 296 new corona infections were added, according to data from the Ministry of Health in Kiel on new corona infections (as of May 4, 6:53 p.m.).

The previous Tuesday there had been 357 new infections.

According to the information, there were 168 people in clinics on Tuesday due to Covid-19 - 6 more than the day before.

53 of them are being treated in the intensive care unit - also 6 more.

30 corona patients were ventilated - 4 more than on Monday.

The number of people who died from or with Corona rose again by 2 - to 1517.

The critical threshold of 100 for the seven-day incidence (new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week) was still not exceeded by any district.

The districts of Neumünster (92.3) and the Duchy of Lauenburg (82.3) as well as Kiel (80.2) recorded the highest values.

The lowest numbers were in Plön (29.5) and Schleswig-Flensburg (30.8).
