It is understood that the restaurant involved in the incident was the Yexinghui International Banquet Hall in Zhongshan District, Taipei. The first police force of Taipei City held a handover ceremony. More than 70 tables were opened and about 700 people participated. .

The Taipei City Police investigation stated that the suspects were suspected of having a consumption dispute with a restaurant owner. All 4 men and 1 woman have been arrested.
