Munich (dpa) - Around two years after Hannelore Elsner's death, selected items of clothing by the famous actress are being auctioned off in Munich.

As her son Dominik told the magazine “Bunte”, he was fulfilling a special wish of the deceased.

"My mother had an incredible feeling for design, elegance and beauty," Elstner explained to the newspaper.

"That is why it was very important to her that the clothes do not disappear in the used clothes container, but are carried on - so that Hannelore remains present."

The auction at the Neumeister auction house is planned for July, as its managing partner Katrin Stoll revealed to the “Buntten”.

"It was Hannelore Elsner's request to her son that her clothes live on after her death and that many women should be happy."

Elsner died of cancer on April 21, 2019, at the age of 76.
