Munich (dpa / lby) - From this Thursday on, Bavaria will equate people who have been completely vaccinated against Covid-19 with those who have tested negative and will award them further relaxation.
Among other things, people with a full corona vaccination - i.e. usually two administered vaccine doses - should be exempted from the obligation to test and from the exit restrictions.
They are not included in the maximum number of contacts allowed.
The state government decided to put the regulation into effect on Thursday, two days before the federal government, said Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) on Tuesday.
They want to send a signal that vaccination is important.
"We are firmly convinced that with such progress the protection of fundamental rights outweighs the freedom of the individual," said Söder.
He continued to call for extreme caution.
The third corona wave has not yet broken, even if the values developed more positively.
"I wouldn't say it's under control," said the Prime Minister.
