Hamburg (dpa / lno) - In Waitzstrasse in Hamburg, which is known for numerous “shop window accidents”, another car has hit the window of a shop.

On Tuesday, a 73-year-old woman lost control of her car and hit the building with the Hamburger Sparkasse Haspa, as a police spokesman for the German Press Agency in Hamburg said.

"It wasn't an attempted robbery or bank robbery."

According to initial findings, neither the senior citizen, passers-by nor bank employees were injured in the accident in the shopping street at Othmarschen station.

The woman had to take a driving test.

As recently as November, around 60 special bollards were used in Waitzstrasse due to the frequent accidents.

Most of the time, older people crashed into the shops when they were pulling into or out of a parking space.

The bollards should be able to withstand a weight of up to two tons.
