If you apply for a local government benefit business using your Individual Number Card, a service that allows you to receive points instead of cash or gift certificates will be tried in some areas from this summer.

"Mina Points," a system in which people with My Number Cards receive 25% of the points returned from using the cashless payment service, will continue until September.

In order to utilize the system of this system for the benefit business of local governments, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has put in place a system that allows you to receive points instead of cash or gift certificates when you apply using your My Number card using a smartphone app.

And from this summer, 17 local governments nationwide will try services using this mechanism.

Miyazaki City plans to give 30,000 yen worth of points per child to support households with children born in the corona virus.

In addition, Kofu City plans to give points worth 100 to 1000 yen each time if you participate in a project aimed at improving the health of citizens, such as a health checkup.

After verifying these efforts, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications plans to start operation in local governments nationwide from next year.
