Berlin (AP) - US singer Ian Hooper has written many songs for the new album of the folk band Mighty Oaks ("Brother") early in the morning at five o'clock.

"My children were at home the whole time," he told the German Press Agency with a view to the Corona period.

He was best able to compose early in the morning.

The Mighty Oaks' new album entitled "Mexico" will be released on Thursday.

They produced it on their own at Hooper's home in Berlin.

In addition to Hooper, the band includes guitarist and keyboardist Claudio Donzelli from Italy and bassist Craig Saunders from England.

Frontman Hooper can currently be seen regularly on the Vox music show "Sing my Song" - alongside soul singer Stefanie Heinzmann, songwriter Joris and Eurodance icon DJ Bobo.

The Corona crisis cost a lot of energy and strength, says Hooper.

He still tried to focus on positive things.

"That's the only thing you can do in difficult times."
