Berlin (dpa) - Dodi Lukebakio and Marvin Plattenhardt have returned to training at Hertha BSC after their corona infections.

Unlike their teammates, both football professionals had not been able to train individually in the 14-day domestic isolation and now have to complete their own training program in order to get fit again for a possible deployment at the end of the season.

Five corona cases at the Berlin Bundesliga club had led to a two-week quarantine for the team and coaching staff.

When the Berliners restarted on Monday evening at FSV Mainz (1: 1), striker Lukebakio and defender Plattenhardt were missing, as was goalkeeper Rune Jarstein.

The Norwegian will not play again this season after the severe course of the Covid-19 illness.

Eduard Löwen trained with the ball again on Tuesday.

The midfielder had only made two short appearances and a total of five minutes of playing time since December last year due to several injuries.

After the draw in Mainz, Hertha are in 17th place in the table with 27 points and two games less. Thursday will be the next catch-up game against SC Freiburg in the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
