The opposition party is concentrating on the verification of candidates for the Minister of Science, Technology, Information and Communication Hye-sook Lim and Hyeong-wook Noh of the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

National Assembly has been holding hearings for five candidates from the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy from 10 am.

Among them, the opposition party is concentrating on the verification of candidate Lim Hye-suk from the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Earlier, there were suspicions that Candidate Lim had a Democratic Party membership and that he was accompanied by his family to foreign conferences abroad.

There are also criticisms against candidates for the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Park Joon-young.

Candidate Park's spouse is suspected of purchasing ceramics estimated to be tens of millions of won in the UK for three years from 2015, and then bringing them into Korea and selling them without going through a separate permission procedure.

In addition, there were suspicions that the Minister of Employment and Labor candidate Gyung-Duk Gyeong-duk received a holiday gift from a large company, and that the candidate Moon Seung-wook made a profit of over 700 million won by buying and selling an apartment that did not live.

The candidates apologized for being inconsiderate and not meeting the public's standards, but opposition lawmakers continued their offensive, saying the appointment was inappropriate.
