Neuruppin (dpa / bb) - He showed right-wing extremist tattoos in front of students - a teacher from Oranienburg (Oberhavel) has now been fined by the Neuruppin district court.

The 38-year-old has to pay 4500 euros - the court sentenced the man on Monday to 90 daily rates of 50 euros, as spokeswoman Iris le Claire confirmed on Tuesday when asked (Az .: 14 Ns 102/20).

The man was found guilty on appeal for using marks from unconstitutional organizations.

First the "Märkische Allgemeine" reported.

The 38-year-old was a referee at a school festival at Bernsteinsee (Barnim) in July 2018.

When he took off his T-shirt, the SS motto, “My honor is loyalty,” and other right-wing tattoos came to light.

A witness photographed the man including his tattoos.

The Hennigsdorfer Oberschule, where he was employed, then gave notice to the teacher.

The district court of Oranienburg sentenced the defendant in October 2020 to three months imprisonment on probation.

He appealed the sentence.

The district court found that the short term of imprisonment was not justified.

According to the law, imprisonment for less than six months is only permitted in exceptional cases.

According to the court, such were not the case here, as le Claire explained.

In addition, the man has now changed his tattoos so that they are no longer punishable.

That was different at the trial before the district court.

The 38-year-old himself had denied in the process that he had a right attitude.

He justified the body painting with the fact that he was interested in Vikings and Teutons.
