The man has previously been investigated for sexually harassing a child at his then workplace, but that investigation was dropped.

A few months later in the autumn of 2020, Swedish police were able to link an account on a cloud service where child pornographic material had been downloaded to the man's e-mail address via information from the FBI and Europol.

Sneak peeked with the watch

The man was arrested in his absence and during a house search, the police seized two computers, a hard drive, a mobile phone and a wristwatch.

Through these, a total of 14,637 images and 3,127 films of a child pornographic nature could be found.

The wristwatch was equipped with a built-in camera with which the man himself secretly filmed a child at two bathing facilities in Malmö.

Convicted of four crimes

During the trial, the man denied that he had committed the crimes and claimed that his computer, mobile phone and wristwatch had been hijacked.

The man was sentenced on Monday to one year and three months in prison for exploiting children for sexual posing, a serious child pornography offense and two cases of child pornography offenses.
