Erfurt (dpa / th) - Families in Thuringia who buy or finish building a property should receive a state grant of 2500 euros per child this year.

The state government must finally create the conditions for this, said CDU parliamentary group leader Mario Voigt on Tuesday in Erfurt.

After all, five million euros are reserved in the state budget for the one-time funding this year.

Voigt announced that his parliamentary group would call on the government in this week's state parliament session to allow families to submit funding applications for the so-called children's building land bonus by June 1.

There should be no high bureaucratic hurdles.

The right to child benefit would have to remain.

According to Voigt, the CDU wants to ensure that the children's building land bonus does not remain a one-off issue this year.

In addition, his parliamentary group is striving to ensure that families do not have to pay the Thuringian property tax of 6.5 percent, which is relatively high compared to other countries, when they first purchase a property.

According to the parliamentary group chairman, around 45 percent of Thuringians own residential property - one- or two-family houses or condominiums.

The country is with the share in the federal trend.
