Wetzlar (dpa / lhe) - The Bundesliga handball players at HSG Wetzlar have to do without Stefan Cavor and Alexander Feld in the season's final spurt.

Backcourt player Cavor, the best scorer of the season in Central Hessen with 122 goals, has broken his left metacarpal bone.

The 26-year-old Montenegrin will be out for at least eight weeks, as the club announced on Tuesday.

Playmaker Feld, who suffered an adductor tendon rupture during training, will be absent even longer.

It is currently still open whether both players will have to undergo an operation.

The sixth in the table had to cope with the failure of Sweden's Olle Forsell Schefvert (knee operation).
