Munich (AP) - In the fight against the Corona crisis, Bavaria is delivering 100 ventilators worth three million euros to India.

The cabinet decided on Tuesday in Munich.

The Free State is helping its partner region Karnataka with the free delivery of the ventilators, said Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU).

The devices would not be needed in Bavaria.

The corona situation in India is currently extremely difficult.

In many places there is a lack of medical equipment and urgently needed oxygen.

Bavaria and India have traditionally been linked by close economic cooperation, which is also linked to a broad cultural exchange.
