So far there is no new information, as a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
The background to the crime is still unclear.
On Monday, a man was shot around noon on a street in Wilhelmsburg and injured in the upper body.
A large-scale manhunt with a patrol car and a helicopter immediately after the crime did not initially lead to the arrest of a perpetrator.
