Werne (dpa / lnw) - A 43-year-old worker was seriously injured in an accident with a forklift in Werne (Unna district).
A 63-year-old forklift driver wanted to reload bales of rubbish in a factory building on Tuesday morning.
After a turning maneuver, he noticed the man next to a truck, the police said.
When he braked the truck, part of the load slid down and fell on the 43-year-old.
This was so badly injured that he was flown to a clinic in a rescue helicopter.
The office for occupational safety took over the further measures.
