The construction will be handled by the architecture company Milan Ingegniera, who won a bid for the construction with a bid of 18.5 million euros, which is approximately 190 million kronor.

The new floor must be able to be angled to let light through and be able to slide back and forth.

Floor above tunnels

The Roman amphitheater, which was completed during the reign of Emperor Titus 80 years after Christ, had a wooden floor built on top of the tunnels and rooms where the gladiators and animals stayed before being taken to the arena.
