The EU reacted to the decision of Russia on retaliatory sanctions

The EU also recalled the expulsion of Czech diplomats by Russia and the adoption of measures against unfriendly states.

The message says that these actions will have a negative impact on bilateral relations.

Also, the EU said it reserves the right to retaliate.

Earlier it was reported that the Secretary General of the European External Action Service will meet with the Permanent Representative of Russia to the EU in connection with the introduction of retaliatory sanctions by Russia against the representatives of the Union.

EU foreign ministers intend to discuss a common response to the imposition of Russian retaliatory sanctions in Brussels on May 10.

On April 30, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that, on the basis of reciprocity, entry into the country was closed for eight citizens of EU countries and representatives of European structures.

Among them was the President of the European Parliament David Maria Sassoli.
