In Chad, the composition of the transitional government was announced Sunday evening, nearly a week after the appointment of the Prime Minister and two weeks after the death of former President Idriss Déby Itno.

It was the President of the Transitional Military Council and Head of State, Mahamat Idriss Déby, who signed their decree of appointment.

Forty ministers, overwhelmingly linked to the late president, but also a few opponents make up the government.

Others, on the other hand, have chosen to stay away from power.

The most notable entry into

the transitional government

is that of the opponent Mahamat Ahmat Alhabo, secretary general of the PLD, who becomes Minister of Justice. If he does not hide some reluctance, the opponent wants to play the game of sacred union. "

When I do the count, I find that there is an imbalance.

The former party of President Déby has carved out the lion's share.

The big will is to be able to change the system, redesign Chad so that in the end we all meet around a table, all Chadians.

Let us come to an understanding not to wage war and kill each other.

You know, that war took a President of the Republic.

The biggest objective and the biggest challenge is therefore to bring together all Chadians, whoever they are.

The immediate objective of this government is to prepare for this inclusive national dialogue

 , ”he explains.

When asked if that means the government is there for three, four months, Mahamat Ahmat Alhabo replied: “

Yes, maybe yes

.

"

Success Masra is also part of the opposition but unlike Mahamat Ahmat Alhabo of the PLD or even the historical opponent Saleh Kebzabo who placed two members of the UNDR in this government, he decided not to participate. The president of the Les Transformateurs party is very critical of what he considers a backdrop government. He assures that he was offered to be minister, even prime minister, but that he rejected these offers.

“

Before talking about people, I have always favored principles and values. I am in no hurry to join a government. I am not a candidate for the transition. I am a candidate to build something solid for the future. If you are a Democrat, you cannot accept the charter which currently gives even more power to the Transitional Military Council than President Déby had

. "

“

Then, what the Chadian people demand, upstream, is first of all the architecture of the transition

: a civilian president, a vice-president in charge of security issues and a government at the head of which there would be someone. one that is not marked.

And the three - who make up the trio of the executive - must commit, in writing, not to be candidates in the elections, presidential in particular, which will result from the transition.

These basic principles are not there.

How can we get into such a government ?!
