The agreement between LREM and Renaud Muselier for the regional election in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur continues to cause a stir.

While two meetings are scheduled at Les Républicains on Tuesday, PACA activists remain rather loyal to the regional president but admit to being confused.

The activists Do the Republicans support the agreement between Renaud Muselier and LREM in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur?

While party officials are standing firm and have withdrawn his nomination, opinions are divided in the region.

In Marseille, if the majority of local activists defend the record of the president of the regional council for the PACA region and his attachment to his political family, some wonder about the relevance of the alliance forged with the presidential party.

The activists between support and incomprehension

Sandra has been an activist in the region for 17 years.

And rather than Renaud Muselier's decision, it is the attitude of certain members of the Republicans that annoys him.

She is very upset that a competing LR list is mentioned by some.

"One of two things, either the candidate who presents himself is going to be ridiculous to cast 5% of the vote, or this candidate will divide the votes of the right and the center. And suddenly, play the game of the National Rally or the far left rather than that of the gathering of the right and the center, "she said.

"Frankly, we will have to wonder what this political party really wants," she tackles.

The discourse of local activists generally remains in this tone of defense and emphasizes that the regional majority is made up of eight different political currents from the right and the center.

But among the traditional voters of the Republican right, there are others, like Catherine, who rejects any form of agreement between LR and LREM.

"For me, that's not politics. I think that Mr. Muselier should have stayed in his place. He is on the right and LREM is more half left, half right, so that everyone stays in their place", slice she does.

A subject raised Tuesday within the authorities

Young La République en Marche activists applaud a rapprochement of reason.

For Renaud Muselier embodies in their eyes a right compatible with their values.

Emmanuel Macron has also pushed for this agreement.

The president of the PACA region, however, affirmed that there was "no apparatus agreement" and that the political representatives with national or ministerial mandates - which includes Sophie Cluzel, former head of the LREM list and current secretary of state - would not be allowed on the list.

The hypothesis of a competing LR list and more broadly the subject of the response to be adopted will be discussed during two meetings scheduled for Tuesday in Paris, a strategic council scheduled for the morning and the national investiture commission, chaired by Eric Ciotti, the 'afternoon. The latter is very unfavorable to the decision of Renaud Muselier, who will also be present. He will have to explain his controversial choice, but also because the statutes of the investiture commission stipulate that the president of the PACA region is the representative of Christian Jacob, the president of the movement.
