The first stage of deconfinement will not only make people happy.

In Rennes, motorists had gotten used to no longer paying for parking for a month.

As during the first confinement in spring 2020, the municipality had in fact decided to make on-street parking free during the four weeks of April "in order to facilitate the personal and family organization of residents working telework or partial unemployment".

But this measure ended on Monday and motorists must now go through the parking meter box to park in the streets of the Breton capital.

The city also indicates that municipal police checks also resumed on Monday.

As a reminder, on-road parking is chargeable from Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Rennes.

In the event of an offense, the fine is 34 euros in the red zone and 24 euros in the green zone.
