A total of 209 cases of unusual blood clots were reported in the UK after vaccination against AstraZeneca Corona 19, of which 41 people died, Reuters reported on the 29th (local time).

In the weekly update of the side effects of the Corona 19 vaccine, the UK Medicines and Health Care Products Authority (MHRA) said that 41 cases of blood clots with platelet reduction and 9 additional deaths were reported after AstraZeneca vaccination.

To date, the AstraZeneca vaccine has been used 22 million times in the first dose as of 21 days.

Four blood clots occurred after the second dose.

MHRA did not disclose the size of the second dose of AstraZeneca.

According to MHRA data, there are 120 females, 89 males, and the age range of 18-93.

There are 84 cases of cerebral sinus thrombosis (CVST), with an average age of 47 years, and other major thromboembolic events with 123 cases, with an average age of 55 years.

In two cases, the diagnosis is unclear.

The UK has advised people under their 30s to provide a vaccine other than AstraZeneca, and those in their 30s are considering what to do.

The UK now has the age of vaccination down to the age of 42.

Officials stressed that side effects were very rare and recommended vaccination that the benefit of the vaccine outweighs the risk for most people.
