China Space Station Tianhe Core Module Launch Mission Successfully

  Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, April 29. At 11:23 on April 29th, the China Space Station's sky and core module was launched into the space and accurately entered the scheduled orbit. The mission was a success.

Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the State and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, sent a congratulatory message to represent the Party Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Commission, to the manned space engineering space station stage flight mission command headquarters and participate in the launch of the Tianhe core module.   In the congratulatory message, Xi Jinping pointed out that the construction of a space station and the completion of a national space laboratory are important goals for the realization of the "three-step" strategy of my country's manned space project, and an important leading project for building a powerful country in science and technology and aerospace.

The successful launch of the Tianhe core module indicates that my country's space station construction has entered the stage of full implementation and laid a solid foundation for the subsequent missions.

  The China Space Station is a manned space station independently constructed and operated by China. It consists of three compartments: Tianhe Core Module, Wentian Experimental Module, and Mengtian Experimental Module.

The Tianhe core module is the management and control center of the space station, and is the first space station section to be launched into orbit.

According to the mission arrangement, the space station is planned to be completed on-orbit construction in 2022. It has the ability to carry out long-term near-Earth space human participation in scientific experiments, technical experiments, and comprehensive development and utilization of space resources, and it will be transferred to the application and development stage.
