It was around the turn of the year that a woman was hit by a smuggler.

For a long time, the woman's health was so poor that she could not be questioned.

Witnesses have been happy with their absence and now the police have closed the preliminary investigation.

The reason is that no person could be linked to the crime.

- The plaintiffs do not remember anything about the traffic accident and its course and therefore she has not been able to help us move forward with the investigation, the police say.

Shortly after the accident, SVT was able to reveal that the place where the woman was hit one evening, lacked street lighting and that this was due to a mistake by the construction company that built new homes in the area.

The company had received permission to temporarily take down the lighting but then failed to set it up.

Some weeks after SVT published the information, temporary lighting was set up.

"Serious injuries"

How is the woman today?

- She sustained a number of serious bodily injuries in the accident.

Whether this may result in lasting complications or, the police can not comment on.
