On Wednesday, federal investigators conducted a home search of Rudy Giulian’s apartment in New York, USA.

Giuliani is known as the former mayor of New York and the personal lawyer of former President Donald Trump.

According to the New York Times, the home search is linked to an investigation into Giulian's actions in Ukraine.

The FBI seized computers and cell phones, among other things, during the search.

On Thursday, ex-President Trump condemned the authorities ’actions and said he had no information as to why Giuliani was the subject of a search.

Trump said the FBI attack was “very unfair”.

- Rudy Giuliani is a great friend of the motherland.

He loves our country and yet his apartment was explored, wondered Trump in the Fox Business program.

- This is so unfair and double-standard that nothing has ever been seen.

I don’t know what exactly they were looking for or doing.

A federal-level investigation will determine whether Giuliani illegally lobbied the Trump administration in 2019 on behalf of Ukrainian officials and oligarchs.

Meanwhile, Giulian is suspected of getting a foul from Ukrainians about Trump’s political opponents such as current President Joe Biden.

According to Bob Costello, representing Giuliani, the seized equipment contains information between a lawyer and clients.

Costello confirmed that the searches were related to the allegation that Giuliani had acted as a foreign agent.

Giuliani has denied the allegations.

According to Reuters sources, Giuliani has been under investigation by federal prosecutors for nearly 1.5 years.

In addition to acting as a foreign agent, he is being investigated for money laundering, fraud and violations of the Election Finance Act, among other things.
