Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The State Criminal Police Office in Baden-Württemberg warns against publishing vaccination records on social networks, as criminals abuse this.
There are currently fake vaccination passports in circulation in Baden-Württemberg, the LKA announced on Thursday in Stuttgart.
The SWR first reported on this on its online site.
Such blank vaccination books would now be traded for up to 200 euros on the Darknet and on messenger services.
The entry in the vaccination card looks real, but the people would never have received the attested corona vaccination.
The LKA was alarmed about this development.
Criminal director Oliver Hoffmann, a specialist in white-collar crime, said that further cases must be expected.
He warned that a forged corona vaccination card did not offer any protection against infection.
Forgery of a document is in itself a criminal offense and the use of forgery can lead to further criminal offenses.

It is known from previous cases that some perpetrators have made posts on social media their own and then read out information about the vaccination batches and the vaccination locations there.
This information could then be used for the fakes, said Hoffmann.
