There are people in the age group 55-59 years who can already next week, week 18, book in for vaccination against covid-19.
The reason is that many health centers have plenty of free time and the vaccine needs to be used as soon as possible.
This means that we are still in phase 3 in parallel with phase 4, and that the groups in phases 1-3 will continue to be given priority.
Depending on the times, however, 55-59-year-olds can be booked in for vaccination, the region writes in a press release.
It all depends on the availability of vaccine
The Jönköping County Region will vaccinate in phase 4 in descending order of age, and the pace will depend on the availability of vaccines.
Preliminarily, no younger age group in phase 4 will be able to start vaccinating until around the end of May, when in future there will be a period of deliveries intended for dose 2.

90 percent over the age of 65 were vaccinated
The goal for the country's regions is that at least 80 percent of the population over the age of 65 must be vaccinated by 16 May.
The Jönköping County Region has already reached that goal, with flying colors.
On April 21, the figure for the number of vaccinated people over the age of 65 was 90 percent.
