Defeats and stumbles surround the Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, this season, the latest of which has been a crisis that has haunted him for about 10 years, despite his vehement denial, which is the accusation of former American model Catherine Mayorga of raping her in a Las Vegas hotel in 2009.

The British newspaper "Mirror" (Mirror) revealed recent legal documents in a court in which Mayorga, her rival, Ronaldo, is asking for a huge compensation of more than $ 78 million, which is equivalent to his salary at Juventus for two years.

The model divides the amount as follows: $ 25 million for "past pain and suffering," and the same for "pain and suffering in the future," as well as punitive compensation for the player, in addition to legal fees.

In 2010, Ronaldo, 36, denied the accusations of the model, who received $ 375,000 from him as part of the non-disclosure settlement of the case that she brought against him out of court.

The Mirror said that Mayorga's legal team had presented a list of more than 60 witnesses who wanted to testify against Ronaldo.

Among them is former British star Jasmine Lennard, who also claims to have dated Juventus' top scorer 10 years ago.

The witness list also includes 3 police officers who investigated Mayorga's original complaint.

"I strongly deny the accusations against me, because rape is a heinous crime that goes against what I believe in," Ronaldo said.
