Germany is the first European country to vaccinate more than a million people in a single day

The daily vaccination rate in Germany rose from 0.71 percent of the population over the past week to 1.3 percent, Wednesday.

In all, 26 percent of the German population received a single dose of vaccine, while 7.5 percent became completely immunized.
