Cologne (dpa) - The "Lindenstrasse" actor Willi Herren, who died at the age of 45, is to be buried on May 5.

The date is now "safe," said a spokesman for his management, who claims to represent the family, on Thursday.

Herren's children, Alessia and Stefano, were in charge of the organization.

Gentlemen should be buried in the Melatenfriedhof in Cologne.

The comedian Dirk Bach, sex advisor Erika Berger and popular actor Willy Millowitsch rest there.

The «Bild» newspaper had previously reported.

According to her manager, Herren's wife Jasmin Herren handed over the organization of the ceremony.

She is currently "physically and mentally" not in a position to take on this, explained the manager.

It is not yet clear whether she can attend the funeral.

Herren was found dead in his apartment in Cologne on April 20.

An autopsy did not reveal any evidence of external violence.
