Dillenburg (dpa / lhe) - In a dispute in an asylum seeker accommodation in Dillenburg, a 31-year-old man was seriously injured with knife wounds.

A 44-year-old man from Afghanistan had previously got into a heated argument with the 31-year-old from Pakistan, as the police and public prosecutor announced on Thursday.

In the course of this, the 44-year-old apparently stabbed the opponent with a knife and seriously injured him.

Rescue workers had taken the man to the hospital.

The police arrested the 44-year-old at the scene.

He was brought before the judge on Wednesday, who ordered pre-trial detention.
