100 days with Biden - so he has kept his election promises

Pandemic

More than 200 million vaccinations have been carried out, which is twice as many as he promised at the beginning of the period.

More than half of all Americans have received at least one dose of vaccine, making the United States one of the most successful countries in the world in terms of vaccination. 

The economy

A $ 1.9 trillion stimulus package has been hammered out by Congress.

The package means, among other things, that many Americans have been able to sign off on a check for $ 1,400, which alleviates distress when millions of jobs have disappeared in the economic downturn.

However, growth is expected to pick up again due to the stimulus package and as more and more jobs are recreated as the pandemic subsides.  

Climate

The United States has re-entered the Paris Agreement and made a new climate promise that halves carbon dioxide emissions by 2030, compared to 2005 levels.

Foreign policy

In foreign policy, Biden, unlike his representative, has pursued an aggressive line against Russia.

Sanctions have been imposed following Russian cyber attacks and interference in the US election.

Biden has also called Putin a murderer.

He has taken the distance to Saudi Arabia after the assassination of journalist Khashoggi, while the line towards China has not changed since the last administration and remains fierce.  

Racism

A review of the police force due to violence that occurs during police interventions has not been made.

Nor have Biden's hopes for more restrictive weapons legislation led to any concrete results. 

Immigration

Biden's promises of a change in immigration policy have come to naught when the number of people from primarily Central America with the hope of entering the United States increased greatly at the border with Mexico.

His promises that more migrants will be allowed to enter the country have not been fulfilled with reference to the pandemic. New concentration camps for, first and foremost, more and more unaccompanied children have been set up. Both Democrats and Republicans criticize Biden for the situation at the border.
