- It really feels like a light in a dark tunnel, finally something positive and something to hold on to, says Hanna Holm.

Throughout her pregnancy, she and her husband have isolated themselves as much as possible.

- It has been incredibly difficult to think about every step you take and every time you walk outside the house.

And the anxiety itself is another danger for the child.

Hanna is far from alone in her great anxiety.

To date, pregnant women have not been recommended to be vaccinated.

On Tuesday, a message came from the Swedish Public Health Agency that some pregnant women in risk groups should receive vaccines, but this does not apply to Hanna.

Today's research news, that the coronavirus itself does not pose an increased risk to the fetus or the newborn baby, comes as a great relief to her.

- Even if there is a risk that I myself get sick and can give birth prematurely, it is reassuring to know that the virus will not make my new child sick, not even if I am sick when I have to give birth, says Hanna Holm.
