Manchester City coach Josep Guardiola acknowledged that the threats of Paris Saint-Germain strikers, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, could deprive coaches of sleep, adding that he needed a solution to stop the danger of the duo in the semi-final first leg of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.

Guardiola believes that there are no effective defenses against the French champion, and he told reporters, saying about his attackers that they were "very good, and I tried to sleep well last night when I was thinking about them."

He continued, "This is the truth. They are from the elite and we are ready to try to stop them and defend a collective system while seeking to score goals."

Guardiola and Neymar first met when the Brazil striker was playing with Santos against Barcelona in the 2011 Club World Cup.

"I remember when I saw videos of him in Santos at that time, and I told the Barcelona players (he is the king of Santos) and the players were amazed when they watched him, and it is a joy to watch him as a fan," the Spanish coach added.

He added, "He carries Brazil upon himself, and it is not easy to wear the No. 10 shirt in Brazil."

Neymar played for Barcelona before moving on to a world record deal to Saint-Germain for 222 million euros ($ 268 million) in 2017.

"I am sure that if he continued at Barcelona he would have won two more or three Champions League titles. Neymar, (Lionel) Messi and (Luis) Suarez was the best hat-trick I have ever seen."
