Kiel (dpa / lno) - SPD Federal Vice Serpil Midyatli has called for corona vaccinations not to forget those people who are difficult to reach by official bodies.

"I am thinking in particular of the homeless, unregistered labor migrants from the EU or other people with unsecured residence status," said the state chairman of the Schleswig-Holstein SPD on Wednesday.

She suggested that some of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine be reserved for these people, as one vaccination is sufficient for this.

"It should be clear that a second vaccination is difficult or even impossible for this group of people," explained Midyatli.

"We have to face reality here."

The pandemic should not be allowed to continue just because some social groups are not vaccinated.

"These people almost never have a family doctor and they also do not have the opportunity to register at a vaccination center," said Midyatli.

That is why vaccination facilities should be created for these people in the appropriate neighborhoods.
