Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Fully vaccinated people in Saxony-Anhalt are exempt from the obligation to test for the corona virus according to the currently valid Corona Containment Ordinance.

Health Minister Petra Grimm-Benne (SPD) made this clear on Wednesday in Magdeburg with a view to the debate about more freedoms for vaccinated people.

With proof of complete vaccination protection, it is already possible to go to the hairdresser or to a shop without having to prove a negative test.

This applies wherever a test is compulsory.

The regulation also applies to people who are subject to regular testing at work.

This includes educators, teachers, nurses and employees in nursing homes.

According to Grimm-Benne, the exemption from the obligation to test also applies to fully vaccinated visitors to care facilities.

Complete vaccination protection is available 14 days after the last vaccination, which is required for a full vaccination schedule.
