While the National Assembly is holding a plenary session on the afternoon of the 29th, it will deal with the process of enacting the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act and the election of the new legal and judicial committee chairman.

Democratic Party lawmaker Yoon Ho-jung, who was the first chairman of the 21st National Assembly, was elected as the in-house representative on the 16th.

The opposition, the People's Power, is demanding the position of the judiciary chairman, but the Democratic Party is not accepting it.

Accordingly, the possibility of the Democratic Party handling it alone is predicted, and there will be strong opposition from the opposition party.

As candidates for the new chairman of the judiciary, Democratic Party 3rd election Park Gwang-on and Chung Cheong-rae are being discussed.

The legislation of the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act will also be addressed at today's plenary session.

This bill has not exceeded the threshold of the National Assembly since it was submitted to the National Assembly in 2013 by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea.

However, after allegations of speculation by former and current employees of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) were raised, public interest in the related contents increased, and the passage of the National Assembly is ahead in 8 years.

The motion to appoint a candidate for Supreme Court Justice Dae-yeop Cheon, adopted by the opposition parties, is also expected to be addressed at today's plenary session.
