Munich (dpa / lby) - More than a quarter of the people in Bavaria have been vaccinated against Corona at least once.

As the Bavarian Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday, 25.5 percent of the population in the Free State have now received a vaccination against the corona virus.

According to this, around seven percent of people in Bavaria have already received a second vaccination.

According to Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU), a new daily high in Bavaria was reached on Tuesday with 130,339 vaccinations.

With 72,877 doses, more than half of the vaccinations were given in doctor's offices.

On average, around 64,000 people are vaccinated every day in the Free State, said Holetschek.

"That shows that we are on the right track."

Around three million more people have also received vaccination appointments in the Bavarian vaccination centers and hospitals.

There are also vaccination appointments in general and specialist practices.
