In the third state of emergency, the government wants to significantly reduce the flow of people by taking intensive measures against infection during the Golden Week holidays starting on the 29th, in light of the spread of highly infectious mutant viruses. We will call for understanding and cooperation by repeatedly refraining from going out unnecessarily and urgently.

Following the spread of the new corona virus, the government has issued a third state of emergency in the four prefectures of Tokyo, Osaka, Hyogo, and Kyoto, as well as seven in Miyagi, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa, Aichi, Ehime, and Okinawa. We are strengthening measures by applying "priority measures such as prevention of spread" to the prefecture.

The government has analyzed that the highly infectious mutant virus has spread and clusters have occurred in various situations, and in Tokyo and Osaka, the proportion of unknown infection routes is as high as 60%.

For this reason, we would like to significantly reduce the flow of people by intensively taking measures against infection during the Golden Week holidays from the 29th, and we have repeatedly requested leave for large-scale facilities and refrained from going out unnecessarily. I am calling for understanding and cooperation.

On the other hand, regarding Gifu and Mie prefectures requesting the application of "priority measures such as spread prevention" on the 28th, the government analyzed the effects of infection control measures not only in both prefectures but also in areas where infection is spreading. However, our policy is to flexibly decide on the application of "priority measures" if necessary.
