Schwerin (dpa / mv) - The regional directorate north of the Federal Employment Agency today announced the labor market figures for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in April.

Experts expect a seasonal decline in the number of unemployed compared to March.

Due to the pandemic, the number will again be higher than a year ago.

According to the official labor market statistics, there were 69,800 unemployed women and men in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in March.

The unemployment rate was 8.5 percent after 7.3 percent a year earlier.

The deadline for collecting the new figures was April 13th.
