India and Russia have agreed to hold ministerial talks on foreign affairs and defense, the so-called "2 + 2".

It seems that India has the aim of strengthening security relations, and Russia has the aim of restraining cooperation between four countries, including the United States and India, within a framework called "quad."

After a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the 28th, Indian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin posted on his Twitter account that he had agreed to establish a two-plus-two dialogue involving the foreign ministers and defense ministers of both countries. ..

India has traditionally had strong military ties with Russia and seems to have the aim of strengthening its security ties through "2 + 2".

According to the Russian Presidential Administration, Putin sent emergency supplies such as 75 respirators in response to the rapid spread of the new coronavirus infection in India during the talks, and was developed by Russia. He announced support measures to produce up to 850 million doses of the vaccine "Sputnik V" in Russia.
