The figure skating family Majorov has lived and worked in Luleå for 30 years, but has now chosen to move south and to Norrköping.

Father Alexander Majorov, former elite skier in the Russian national team, will be the new head coach of Norrköping's Figure Skating Club and his son Nikolaj will start competing for it.

Mother Irina will also be linked to the association.

The club writes in an internal information document to the members:

“Majorovs has been impressed by how the association has developed and by the clarity that surrounds the coaching work in the form of governing documents and its organization.

It has been crucial for them as they wanted to come to an association that bases its activities on a clear philosophy both in terms of training and competition as well as social development of children and young people. "

Nikolai Majorov finished in 23rd place at the Figure Skating World Championships in Stockholm and that placement resulted in a quota place for the Winter Olympics in Beijing in a year.

Norrköping's Figure Skating Club has for some time been looking for a new head coach, as the current Kim Zandvoort has chosen to move on in his career.
