Berlin (dpa) - After Fritz Keller's verbal derailment, the head of the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association, Uwe Döring, turned to the presidential committee of the DFB with a request.

"The point now is that the people in the presidential committee must ask the vote of confidence," said Döring of the "Süddeutsche Zeitung".

The DFB needs a completely new management body.

The Presidential Committee currently has five people: President Keller and his three opponents, Vice Rainer Koch, Secretary General Friedrich Curtius and Treasurer Stephan Osnabrügge.

The fifth member is Peter Peters, who automatically joins the supervisory board of the German Football League (DFL).

At the beginning of the week it became known that Keller had called his Vice President Koch “Freisler” in a meeting of the presidium and compared it with Roland Freisler, the notorious chairman of the People's Court under National Socialism.

Many amateur representatives have already distanced themselves from Keller's choice of words, as has the German Football League.

Keller is currently ruling out a resignation and wants to stay in office at least until the DFB Bundestag is brought forward.
