This new body set up at the beginning of the week is responsible for thinking about a new political strategy for historical training and for modernizing it.

After successive political failures, more and more critical voices are being raised within the old single party.

Its direction is more and more contested, in particular the executive secretary, considered as the number two of the PDCI, Maurice Kakou Guikahué, who is not part of this political committee.

A political committee to reform and modernize the party

", this is how Djedry N'Goran, director of the administration

of the Democratic Party of Côte d'Ivoire

, defines the new political body installed by Henri Konan Bédié. During the 75th anniversary of the oldest political formation in Côte d'Ivoire, the “Sphinx of Daoukro” had recognized the need to reshape the party, following the electoral setbacks of the presidential election in October and the legislative elections of last month.

But impossible not to note the absence of Maurice Kakou Guikahué, considered the number two of the party.

The executive secretary is very much challenged internally, in particular by the youth section of the PDCI.

If he is not part of the general coordination of the committee, Maurice Kakou Guikahué ensures the follow-up as special advisor to President Bédié.

Despite everything, the most critical activists interpret this decision as a sanction for the political figure.

This is contested by cabinet member Djedry N'Goran, who speaks rather "

of a call to other intelligences in order to strengthen the contribution of party officials

 ".

A position also defended by Guy Tressia.

Maurice Kakou Guikahué's communications advisor attests that the executive secretary serves as a scapegoat for his detractors, who would not dare to directly attack the great chief Henri Konan Bédié.
