Mainhausen (dpa / lhe) - The Association of Education and Upbringing (VBE) in Hesse complains about problems with corona self-tests in special schools.

The tests were difficult or impossible to carry out for many children and young people with cognitive and physical and motor impairments, the association criticized on Wednesday in Mainhausen.

Graduating classes and special needs schools continue to be taught despite the school closings due to the federal emergency brake.

“The peculiarities of special needs schools are repeatedly given too little attention in the pandemic,” complained Joachim Trautmann, contact person for special needs schools at VBE Hessen.

This can now be seen again in the self-tests.

"Alternatives or exceptions to the self-tests could save the schools, especially the children and their parents, a lot."
