When the Walpurgis celebrations do not become as usual, the communication department at Uppsala University felt that they wanted to spread spring feeling and joy in another way.

Choir singing and spring bed are strongly associated with celebrating spring.
We thought it was a fun contribution, says Gisella Bengtsson, project manager at the communications department.
A run on the desk
With the app, you can, for example, get the choir to stand and sing on the desk thanks to the so-called AR technology (augmented reality).
It is also possible to remove one or more parts and instead sing along.
- People are starting to get so tired of the pandemic, so now we have to contribute something cozy and a little hopeful, says Gisella Bengtsson.
Four classic spring songs are performed by four avatars in different parts.
