A joint press conference of French and German ministers took place on Tuesday in Bercy.

The French Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire and his German counterpart Olaf Scholz presented their national recovery plans in order to restore their respective economies devastated by the coronavirus pandemic.

The French minister called on the European Commission to examine the recovery plans of the member countries as soon as possible.

A dozen member countries of the European Union including France and Germany will present their recovery plans in Brussels this week.
