Lavrov said that during a telephone conversation with Blinken after the inauguration of US President Joe Biden, they "ended by saying that there will be some kind of joint multilateral events, on the margins of which you can talk on occasion."

The minister noted that so far no signals have been received from the American side.

He also said that in three weeks Russia will take over the chairmanship of the Arctic Council from Iceland.

“In Reykjavik, a ministerial meeting is planned, in my opinion, on May 20-21.

If the American delegation is headed by the Secretary of State, I, of course, will be ready, if he is interested, to talk with him, ”RIA Novosti quoted Lavrov as saying.

Lavrov also said that Moscow offered the administration of US President Joe Biden to nullify the diplomatic conflict between the countries.
